Ruth Scofield

My favorite text of encouragement is Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”  I am so blessed to have met my husband and his 4 children when I was just 27 years old, though marrying a divorcee was very out of character for me.  What joy they have brought to my life.  As a retiree, I enjoy decorating my home to make it comfortable and inviting to others; laughing at our kitten, Cody; meeting new people; choosing chocolate over any other treat and enjoying the conveniences of modern technology… if I can figure it out.

Years ago, I worked at a job where my manager Billie believed in me, helping me to grow as an individual and teaching me new things.  She had such an impact on my life.  I now enjoy being a connector and resource to people to make their lives better, as we all walk together through this world of suffering and loss.  Tawny and I have been friends for quite some time and being by her side, witnessing her journey after the loss of her husband and then collaborating with her to start Take Heart Ministry has been a fulfilling and growing experience for me.

I love mornings!  The fresh peacefulness washes over me with a spirit of gratitude for the good health I experience and the daily blessings God gives me.  I pray that my life will vindicate the wonderful and compassionate God I serve and that I will always be faithful to Him.
